At its March 27 & 28 Classis meetings, the following decisions were made by the Heritage Reformed Congregations:
1. Maarten Kuivenhoven was examined and given permission to continue his studies with a view to candidacy effective December 15, 2009.
2. Pastor Johnny Serafini's ministerial credentials were approved for ministry in the denomination. He has accepted a call to be the pastor of the HRC in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
3. The PRTS Board of Trustees has now been expanded to include two voting members from the FRCNA. Dr. Lawrence W. Bilkes and Pastor Pieter VanderMeyden were appointed by the FRCNA committee to these positions. Dr. Gerald Bilkes continues to serve as an advisory member.
4. The Theological Education Committee of the FRCNA approved the continuation of studies for Derek Baars and Tim Bergsma. Upon a successful candidacy exam at the FRCNA Synod in June, Derek Baars may be declared eligible for a pastoral call within the FRC.
5. The Theological Education Committee of the FRCNA
received Seth Huckstead and Robert VanDoodewaard as students for the ministry
under their denomination's care.
