Journals &
magazines in PRTS Library
Periodicals (journals, magazines, and other serial publications) are shelved alphabetically by title. Current issues up to one year old by the Reference section and back issues at the southeast side of the library. These issues may be photocopied since they are not allowed to leave the library. If a particular issue is missing, you may request it by ILL. To see a complete list of all periodicals in the PRTS library, open this file (PDF): PRTS Periodicals: "Note that many of these periodicals are no longer active or current. However, if you want to search for a specific journal title to see which issues are available currently at PRTS, select "Journal Title" (rather than keyword or title, etc) and type the journal name.
Looking for a journal or article that is not indexed in FirstSearch or ATLA? Try these other resources:
- Free "open access" online journals: limited full-text access to over 100 journals in religion and theology. (To see a list of available journals, open this file (PDF): Internet Journals on Christianity and other Religions)
- RTA (Religious & Theological Abstracts): This abbreviated, free version of RTA provides abstracts to thousands of journal articles. Its only limitation is that it provides no more than five abstracts for a given subject or Scripture text.
- Ask-a-Librarian to help you find the article or journal. Most likely they will be able to obtain it using interlibrary loan.
