Dr. Joel R. Beeke serves as President and Professor of Systematic Theology and Homiletics, as well as Academic Dean for students from the Heritage Reformed Congregations. He is currently a pastor of the Heritage Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a position he has held for 20 years. He has been in the ministry for 28 years. He is also editor of the Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth, editorial director of Reformation Heritage Books, president of Inheritance Publishers, and vice-president of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society. He has written, co-authored, or edited fifty books and contributed over fifteen hundred articles to Reformed books, journals, periodicals, and encyclopedias. His Ph.D. (1988) from Westminster Theological Seminary is in Reformation and Post-Reformation Theology. He is frequently called upon to lecture at Reformed seminaries and to speak at conferences around the world. He and his wife, Mary, have 3 children: Calvin, Esther, and Lydia.
Dr. Gerald M. Bilkes is Assistant Professor of Old and New Testament, as well as Academic Dean for most students. His Ph.D. (2002) is from Princeton Theological Seminary; his dissertation examined the Ezra-Nehemiah corpus. He was recipient of the United States Information Agency Fellowship at the Albright Institute in Jerusalem in 1997-1998. He has written articles on biblical-theological themes and given addresses at several conferences. His specific interests include the archaeological context of the Bible, biblical theology, and the interpretation of Scripture in the Reformed and Puritan tradition. He and his wife, Michelle, have 4 children: Lauren, Seth, Zachary, and Audrey.
Dr. David P. Murray was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He worked for five years in financial services before being converted to Christ. He studied for the ministry at Glasgow University and the Free Church of Scotland College (Edinburgh). He was a pastor for 12 years, first at Lochcarron Free Church of Scotland and then at Stornoway Free Church of Scotland (Continuing). Since 2002, he has also been the Lecturer in Hebrew and Old Testament at the Free Church Seminary in Inverness. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformation International Theological Seminary for his work relating Old Testament Introduction studies to the pastoral ministry. Dr. Murray joined the faculty of Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in 2007. He and his wife, Shona, have 4 children: Allan, Angus, Joni, and Amy.
